Historical buildings
Late Romanesque style little church from the year 1269 consecrated to Maria Magdalena with nice typical
semicircular apsida was later reconstructed and in 1830 renamed to the All Saints. There is a painting
of All Saints on the altar of spile architecture in its only nave. There are the sculptures of saint Maria
and of the Heart of God from tirolean woodcarver F. Stufflesser, candelabrums in rococo style and a baroco
bell. On the pulpit from 19 th. century there is a picture of Lord shouldering the cross originated
from the 17 th. century. The small organum is from the year 1840. The original picture of Madonna in gothic
frame from 1460-70 is located in Szepmuvészeti Museum in Budapest. The kirk has the early gothic portal
from the time of its building and smooth fronts with baroco windows.
Wood bell tower beside the kirk is from the year 1635. The fondation of this belfry has a baluster
construction of the tower without the formwork. The roof is in the form of oblique prism where from every
side is situated one sound aperture. This roof is covered by shingles. There were two bells in the tower
founded in 1545 and 1617 by Matias Kupczovie from Nemecká Lupča which were unfortunately damaged. One of them
rested in the kirk and for chime is used a bell from another church.
There was a mansion in this willage colled „Palota“ (palace), but it fell to ruins.
It was one floor stone building with semicircular bastion. The roof of this buildinig was covered by shingles,
the windows in the ground floor were covered by bars. The entry to the Palota was from south side near
to the bastion through the high gate, where it was possible to entry in the lower or upper hall.
In the smaller upper hall were played different performances and on the wall there was a picture of a wife
with wrapped eyes represented a symbol of court with inscription „prudentia et justicia“ – reason and justice.
This hall was also used as the seat of the court. Delinquents were arrested in the bastion where was a torture
chamber with rack and they were subjected to cruel torture. In the time of administrator – deputy Bán
there was tha seat of county court. The lower hall served for amusement and dance.
The wood hand was remarkable too – black painted forearm as the sign of power
(stored in Liptovské múzeum in Ružomberok) where a notice was fixed and was packed from house to house
and after 2 – 3 days came back to magistrate. The shield of Bán family is blue and from golden crown
sticks out a red-dressed arm clenching in fist the end of golden ribbon which is connected with a golden horn.
Over the crown there is a small golden star between arm and horn.
In the seal of the willage there are scytre, sheaf and reed.
